Latest 2016 Plant system
Berkshire Powder Coatings has invested heavily in cutting edge coating technology and utilises brand new on line powder coating systems installed in 2016, with the latest plant we have the facilities to offer high volume and high levels of quality and consistency to all of our products.
On line coating means all process are carried out on a moving single track, allowing the components to be positioned once and pass through all the different processes and not need to be touched until it has been fully coated and cured at the end of the process. This reduces the chances of contamination, or damage and ensures above all else that every product no matter what time of the day it is processed, will be as consistent to the first product.
Online Pre-treatment system
Our Pre- treatment systems offer the latest 3 stage on line iron phosphate degreasing system, with an additional 4th stage cold water rinse, the entire system is automatically monitored for quality and constant automated dosing to ensure the perfect measurement range of pre-treatment chemicals is always maintained for high quality consistency every time. Pretreatment Technologies supply the chemicals and auto dosing equipment, and constantly monitor the pre-treatment process to make sure everything is to spec.
Online Dry off Oven
Once the products have passed though the pre-treatment process they are dried on line though a specially designed dry off oven, to ensure all products are perfectly dry before the coating process.
Online powder application
Berkshire powder offers has the highest quality on line powder booth allowing for both high volume requirements and small quantity runs with the same quality processes. We have both manual powder applications as well as the latest automatic / robotic application processes for high volume production runs with consistency and high quality application. Reclaiming powder on long batch runs means we can save money and pass this saving on to the customer.
Online Curing oven
Berkshire powder coatings offers a large 16 meter single length curing over (with no turns or bends) meaning we can offer consistent and efficient curing processes to cope with high volume throughput, with high quality results.
The curing ovens are digitally controlled and monitored constantly by the latest technology sensors that feed back to the central control to measure and highlight potential hot spots and correct flow of air circulation along the entire length of the oven, resulting in highly consistent temperatures and airflow which in turn results in highly consistent coated products, time after time.

As Berkshire Powder coatings offers one the latest technology plants as of 2016, we have been able to benefit from new technologies of energy saving in the online treatment process to not just benefit the environment and our own carbon foot print but also save running costs to enable us to pass the savings in our running costs to our customers, making us highly competitive on price.
Pre-treatment heating – wasted energy from our curing ovens are harnessed and converted to enable our pre-treatment chemicals to be heated all day, meaning we only have to run the pre-treatment heating for a short period each day, reducing the amount of gas required to operate the plant and therefore reducing the operating costs for you.
Sharing heat between our curing ovens and our dry off ovens, means a vast reduction in additional heating, as again wasted heat from our curing ovens is directly shared with the dry off oven area, further lowering the operating costs.
